Job description

Specialist - Accounting - Job Description:

The offshore team to assist with the following actions: Intercompany transactions Calculation of commissions/bonus for consultants Reconcile balance sheet accounts and provide explanations of changes to prior periods. Bank reconciliation Prepare month end journal entries (accruals) Calculate rebates for eligible clients. Prepare monthly analysis for client executive Report Analyze P&L and interact with field managers to answer questions related to their P&L. Participate to the validation of monthly results (GM, operational cost v/s prior month) Perform special analysis when needed for the director or managers Preparation of month-end results, analysis and reporting for various entities & branches Preparation of various reports according to established timelines Reconciliation of Government remittances Contribute to the review and monitoring of internal controls Support Branch Manager and Vice-President of different line of business with their P&L’s queries. Act as the primary contact for accounting related inquiries from various branches. Coordinating new projects and testing Prepare sales report and GM reports Prepare non- financial data for reporting

Education & Qualifications (Required and Preferred):

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferably B.com) Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Finance & Accounting Domain Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Excel (advanced or above advanced expertise) Prior knowledge of Randstad operations and systems is an asset

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is mandatory Prior exposure in managing month end closing and reporting Booking of journal entries and booking accruals during month end/quarterly close Expertise in account reconciliation and research on “Open Items” Prior experience of intercompany Experience with JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and/or Hyperion, preferred Ability to work independently under high pressure during the month end and quarterly closing Must be a team player with ability to maintain a positive attitude in an extremely fast-paced environment Ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple projects at once Flexibility is needed as the candidate might need to work for extra during month end close Strong analytical thinking Self-starter, energetic, enthusiastic and customer service focused Interested in learning and advancing career Ability to work on large data in Microsoft excel Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, focus on improving processes to eliminate waste Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and escalate trends in

Reporting to: · Team Lead or above (as per business needs)

Shift Timings : · Coverage is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST) which is 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST (Day Light Savings are needed
