Job description
- The Product Manager, Pharma, is a critical role within the Product Management & Marketing function of the company
- This role is expected to establish Wolters Kluwer as one stop solution - both digital and print - for pharma organizations in India to gain superior, evidence-based content solutions, by developing great products that meet customer needs
- The role has P&L responsibility for the product line and will work closely with the Sales team to close new deals and drive renewals
Editorial & Content Management/ Product Development
- Develop new product strategy; conceptualize, develop product vision, and lead development for Pharma industry (print & digital) based on Wolters Kluwer Content
- Develop, maintain, and implement the local content strategy for his/ her segment
- Establish & manage portfolio of special print & digital solutions including the development of strategic business plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Develop customized solutions for Pharma market along with reprint products
- publishing in WK India Pharma along with reprint products
- Managing delivery of Imports, Indian Origin books reprints, commissioning and publishing of new titles and digital solutions for pharmaceuticals-based clients
- Develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) based solutions including books and leverage content & KOLs for innovative & creative products generating more revenue.
- Develop, maintain, and execute product roadmap for WK online digital solutions & customer success.
- Ensuring content is strategically sound, brand-appropriate, and aligned with global intellectual guidelines and global approvals.
- Develop strategy to capture existing customized business opportunities from pharmaceuticals and add revenue to Wolters Kluwer
- Developed business strategy basis the available content and intellectual property to promote and establish customized solutions portfolio
- Engagement and Management of top International & national Societies, Healthcare Associations, medical organizations, Academic Institutions and Pharma allied segments
- Work closely with WK editors and global team for approvals and with global publishers for proprietary and society based intellectual rights.
- Establishing effective relationships & management with International & national KOLs for various medical content and event-based projects:
- Collaborate with sales, account management and customers for understanding pain points to identify and develop new solutions.
- Team Management, Operations, and cross functional team coordination.
Project Management
- Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules and timely deliveries
- Drive given set of annual revenue target from Pharma WKHI Business
- End to End execution & delivery of the orders received for Pharma WKHI Business
- End to end execution of all projects for the PHARMA DIVISION including procurement, management, designing and deliveries
- Manage and deliver Local editions, customizations of the Journals and ensuring content and approvals in place
- Maintain records and data for the orders received and revenue generated
- Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
- Coordinate with internal team like editors, production team, designers etc. to finalize the product for printing
- Content management and record keeping
- Coordinate with client as an when required
- Coordinate with vendors for approvals and project deliveries
- Track the editorial and production work of his/her journals, providing reports pertaining to these to all relevant parties, and maintaining all production records for his/her journals.
- For online and print publication of journal articles and issues, he/she must ensure quality and adherence to schedule in Pre-editing, Copyediting, Typesetting, Author s review & Revision(s).
- Adhere to content and content related instructions and guidelines
Work Experience
- Sound Knowledge of content and publishing standards
- Knowledge of Reprint business of Books and Journals
- Experience in Healthcare with understanding of Pharma market
- Understanding of publishing processes and guidelines
- Minimum work experience of 8-10 years
- Understanding of medical and scientific content and solutions
- Project and team management experience is must
Education
- Any bachelors degree, preferably in healthcare related or allied health sciences.
