Role Description/Criteria
St Kevin's College St Kevin's College is a leading Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition. We cater for boys from ELC to Year 12 with a current enrolment of 2100 students. The College is a member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria (APS).
The Opportunity St Kevin's College, Toorak is seeking a qualified and experienced 1st Basketball Coach for a part time (0,2), ongoing position, commencing February 1, 2024.
Reporting to the Dean of Sport, the role is responsible for providing high-quality instruction through exceptional basketball training and technique.
About You - To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience coaching to a 1st or elite level
- Current First Aid Certificate; Asthma, Anaphylaxis, CPR training
- Level 2 NCAS – Basketball (or if not Head/ Lead Coach Experience)
Coaching Commitment - Term 1 Preseason 10 weeks 1-2 sessions per week in the morning
- Term 1 Holiday time 4 x training sessions + 2 x games (3 hours each)
- Term 2 In-Season 2 x training sessions per week (2 hours each) + game day (3 hours) + 3 hours game preparation per week
- Term 2 Holidays 4 x training sessions (2 hours each)+ 2 x games (3 hours each)
- Term 3 In-Season 5 weeks of regular season (as per T2 above) + 6-10 hours of post season reviews
- Term 4 Development 5 weeks of one training session – skill development
