Job description
Position: Dy. Manager-Projects -Mechanical Engineering
Location: Kanpur
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech-Mechnical
Exp: 10+ Years
Job Responsibilities:
•Work with Project consultant & Engineering team, for designing of Plant mechanical equipment and Piping requirements.
• Finalizing Project specification for Mechanical Equipment & Piping as per latest design standards.
• Monitoring & Tracking of Engineering Deliverables for the project
• Understanding and following Project design best practices
• Preparation & Review of Piping & bulks MTO (Material Take of) List & BOQ (Bill of Quantity)
• Preparation of Valves specification & BOQ.
• Preparation & Review of Equipment Manufacturing Drawings, GA Drawings defect.
• Preparation of Mechanical Datasheets, TEMA, preparation of RFQ, perform technical bid evaluation.
• Review Vendor drawings/Documents (VDR)
• Expediting vendors whenever required and chasing up vendors for timely submission of required documents.
• Regular Coordination with other disciplines wrt IDC
• Raise PR & monitor cost through SAP.
• Ensure change control.
• Preparation of preliminary plant layout for feasibility study and inputs for detailing phase of project
Qualifications/ knowledge/ experience
• Graduate Mechanical Engineering, Having more than 10yrs of in Chemicals, Petrochemical/Refinery.
• Conversant with applicable National and international codes & standards (ASME/API/IS/TEMA etc).
• Proficient in relevant Design Software, as applicable (AutoCAD 3D, PV elite, HTRI/Aspen).
• Experienced in Brown field projects/ MOCs Essential Having Knowledge on Statutory requirement & documentation process.
• Experience in Engineering management to deal with consultants, ensure documentation management.
• Experience in vendor document requirements & management and ensure continuous clearance till receipt of materials at site.
• Ability to design/drawing release with minimum guidance Essential Knowledge of requirements governing ATEX/UL certification is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge in design and understanding Hazard Area Classification, relief valves study, bursting discs etc.
• Demonstrable examples of a stringent attitude to working safely in design and operation.
• Ability to adapt to new ways of working Desirable.
