Job description
Duties:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer – 1, you'll be working in a fast-paced engineering environment working on creating 3D models, Assemblies and 2D drawings. The engineer should have hands-on experience in the application of GD&T as per ASME Y 14.5. Follow the client standards and deliver quality files. Knowledge of EPDM check-in/outs, Data Cards and ERP exposure is required.
Responsibilities:
- Creating parametric 3D Models using Basic & Advanced modeling techniques using the SolidWorks CAD tool not limited to Fiber Glass parts, Aluminium parts and sheet metal parts.
- Creating parametric assemblies using the SolidWorks CAD tool.
- Modify the existing SolidWorks parts and assemblies as requested through ECN process.
- Create detailed engineering, Production drawings using SolidWorks.
- BOM (Bill of Material) preparation, Single Level and Multi-Level.
- Create Item Master and multi-level BOM in ERP software such as SAP / JD Edwards or Ln-Infor.
- Carrying out self-QC of the 3D models and drawings created.
- Assist Engineers with required engineering expertise.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineer with 4 – 8 years of experience or Diploma with 5 – 9 years.
- 2 years of working experience designing Fiberglass parts.
- 1 year of experience working on designing Aluminum parts and assemblies.
- Good experience creating 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
- Solidworks proficiency and certification is preferred.
- ASME 14.5 Y detailing standards required.
- Knowledge of ERP, setting up Item masters and BOM is plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience working as a team player is required.
- English Proficiency: Good written and oral Communication is required.
