Job Title: Data Engineer (2-5years) Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer in the finance domain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and data engineering, with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and analytical solutions. The Finance Data Engineer will collaborate closely with finance professionals, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver scalable and robust data infrastructure for financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. Responsibilities : Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform financial data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files. Design and implement data models and schemas optimized for financial analysis and reporting. Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle by implementing robust data validation and monitoring processes. Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability, considering factors such as data volume and frequency of updates. Implement automated workflows and scheduling mechanisms for data processing and ETL tasks. Work closely with data scientists to integrate financial data into predictive models and analytical tools. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in finance and data engineering, and incorporate them into the development process. Document data pipelines, data models, and technical processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for data-related issues in production environments. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience as a data engineer, with a focus on financial data processing and analysis. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and/or R, with experience in developing data pipelines and ETL processes. Strong understanding of financial concepts and metrics, such as accounting principles, financial statements, and portfolio analytics. Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift). Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and related services for data processing and storage. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
