Site Reliability Engineering Manager, Supply Chain - Services Delivery Manager
Overview:
The Blue Yonder Planning ASRE Team is responsible for improving customer experience by proactively resolving upstream product issues, deployment problems, and enhancing support capabilities through tools, technology, and subject matter expertise
For our SaaS & Cloud customers, we handle all aspects of solution support, including proactive monitoring, application support, product support, change requests, service requests, as well as end-to-end workflow support
To achieve success, we work in an integrated model, collaborating closely with other cross-functional/development teams to foster a more controlled environment
Scope:
Blue Yonder is currently undergoing a tremendous SAAS/DevOps transformation, making it an incredibly exciting time to join our team! You will be responsible for collaborating with global Product Development, Functional, and Technical teams in various customer engagements
Seeking an astute leader with strong techno functional foundation with an ability to be hands-on with the broader engineering team as part of the development/deployment cycle, and deep knowledge of industry best practices, Devops and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience with the ability to implement them working with both the product and operational support team
Additionally, the individual will work closely with regional customers and internal stakeholders (consultants, support and cloud operations, infrastructure, security, product development teams) to implement and support our designed products and solutions, effectively meeting business requirements while ensuring supportability and customer satisfaction
What You'll do:
Own Site Reliability Engineering for SaaS customers in Supply Chain Planning
Architecting/planning sprints/designing/implementing (along with counterparts) running rollouts for Azure SaaS planning solution, in Devops mode.
Participates in team activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Translates business requirements to user stories and actively seeks feedback by the stakeholders.
Takes the lead in designs of individual stories and translates the design to subtasks.
Keeps up to date with technology and research latest trends in the industry.
Actively shapes team vision and helps shape the team roadmap towards achieving it.
Raises and resolves operational concerns during design phases.
Produces actionable user stories to relieve operational pain.
Plans and performs more complex changes and manages stakeholder expectations.
Seeks out the root cause of incidents and inspires improvements in a blameless fashion.
Strives to replace service requests with self-service functionality and automation.
Diligently collaborates with stakeholders to optimize their choice of service and service usage to minimize costs for derived products.
Leads by example and becomes a subject matter expert in one or more product areas.
Understands functional and technical requirements of software components.
Actively provides feedback during code reviews.
Onboards new members to the team and helps develop junior engineers.
Participates in team hiring activities.
Performs benchmark analyses, identifies hot spots, and derives appropriate measures to improve performance.
Lead automation for support operations, eg service request, change management, incident response.
Provide functional and/or technical support during customer upgrades, deployments, rollouts, and post-production phases.
Understand and triage critical/complex customer issues, conducting any necessary technical research, and create knowledge articles for recurring cases.
Develops prototypes and proofs of principles for innovative features.
Reflects on alignment of team vision with company vision.
Has a deep understanding of their team s problem domain.
Provide technical and people leadership to the Site Reliability Engineering team
Contribute to achieve site reliability engineering KPI targets
What we are looking for:
Bachelors degree (STEM (Civil engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering) preferred) and minimum 10 years of experience in SaaS supply chain solution support, Devops or Site Reliability Engineering
Exposure to Cloud Technologies and Cloud Delivery. Exposure to CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub etc
Strong Analytical, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills with ability to engage with stakeholders
Good understanding about DevOps technologies.
Builds and demonstrates moderate competency in product and domain, Azure & relevant tools and technologies, solution architecture etc
Candidates have relevant experience on BY Planning suite of products.
Understanding and hands on experience with third-party monitoring, and logging services
An unreasonably positive and creative leadership approach, comfortable with change, having clear examples of a growth mindset.
