Roles and Responsibilities:
Generate innovative and original textile design concepts based on market trends brand guidelines and client requirements.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including fashion designers product developers and marketers to understand design objectives.
Develop detailed and intricate patterns suitable for various textile applications such as clothing
.
Ensure that patterns meet quality and production standards considering factors like scalability and colorfastness.
Research and select appropriate materials and fabrics for specific design concepts.
Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to understand material capabilities and limitations. expectations of the target audience.
Create harmonious color palettes that complement the overall design and meet the
Stay updated on color trends and incorporate them into design concepts.
Utilize design software and tools proficiently for creating digital representations of textile designs
.
Understand and apply various printing and manufacturing techniques including screen printing digital printing and weaving.
Create prototypes and samples to test the feasibility of designs and make necessary adjustments.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure that the final product meets design specifications.
Maintain detailed records of design concepts specifications and iterations.
Present design ideas and concepts to internal teams clients and stakeholders.
Required Knowledge and Skill:
