Minimum Qualifications:  Pursuing or completed B.Tech/M.Tech in a field related to Materials Science
Desirable Qualifications: Â Experience working with conductive materials in healthcare-based applications is a plus
Essential Skills Required:
Sound knowledge in conductive materials used in direct contact with the skin for biomedical applications, including conductive yarns, carbon black and similar. Strong proficiency in mechanical properties of materials and prototyping work. Hands on experience with chemical handling, fabrication processes and equipment including magnetic stirrer, ultrasonic bath and similar. Knowledge about material integration techniques. Past experience with graphene/carbon based work, screen printing is a plus. An analytical mind and good documentation skills. Knowledge or experience working with medical regulatory standards is a plus.
Task: The selected staff is expected to:
Perform detailed studies, test experiments and characterization of various electrical, electro-mechanical, physical and biocompatibility properties of select conductive (yarns, carbon-based material, threads) material as part of the development of electrodes for wearable biomedical applications. Devise methods of using such characterised material for developing electrodes of predefined performance standards; implement such methods and test outputs. Coordinate with vendors and production units for prototyping such electrodes. Document, analyse, and digitise all processes performed.
