The Senior Commercial Operations Analyst role at Kaleris is dedicated to enhancing our sales team's effectiveness by optimizing sales processes, supporting the structuring and execution of license and services deals, and leveraging data analytics tools to measure key KPIs. The ideal candidate brings experience in On-Prem and Cloud-Based Subscription software sales, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and upholds a high level of accountability and attention to detail. We are seeking a self-starter who understands the dynamics of winning deals while ensuring alignment with field needs and compliance with internal policies.
Working in close coordination with a global sales team, legal, finance, and other business stakeholders, the Sr. Commercial Ops Analyst will play a pivotal role in meeting requirements throughout the sales lifecycle. As a key contributor, you will also take ownership of and optimize business processes during our transition and scale-up, guiding and developing a dedicated Sales Commercial Analyst.
Responsibilities - End-to-End Opportunity Lifecycle Ownership: Take charge of every aspect of the opportunity lifecycle.
- Forecast Development: Lead annual and quarterly forecast development, potentially leading forecast calls with global sales leaders.
- Process Efficiencies: Define, implement, and manage process efficiencies for all Kaleris sales teams.
- Cross-Departmental Training: Strategize, facilitate, and manage cross-departmental training programs on sales operations systems and processes.
- Advisory Role: Act as a trusted adviser to sales executives on pricing, product configuration, and commercial terms.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with sales and business approval policies, and customer contracts.
- Contract Management : Prepare contract schedules, partner with Contracts for review and approval.
- Sales Advocacy: Be a sales advocate and partner internally to understand complex sales issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement and sales training opportunities with teammates and management.
- Escalation Management: Handle day-to-day escalations, providing short and long-term solutions to resolve root causes.
- Customer Engagement: Potentially engage directly with customers or prospects through written and verbal communications.
- Soft Skill Training: Coach team members on providing excellent support to sales and clients through ongoing soft skill training.
- Metrics Development: Develop deal-tracking metrics, discounts, pricing, approvals, and deal KPIs.
- Meticulousness: Your attention to detail is impeccable, ensuring accuracy in every task you undertake.
- Excellent Communication: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with various departments, including finance, legal, and marketing.
- Organization: Juggle competing priorities with attention to detail.
- Innovation: Challenge the status quo to bring in new and innovative ideas for process and program improvements.
- Initiative: Begin each day with clear objectives, prioritizing based on field demands.
Requirements - Experience: 5-7 years in technology sales, finance, revenue ops, deal desk, or order management.
- Sales Methodologies: Familiarity with On-Prem and Cloud-Based Subscription sales methodologies.
- Revenue Recognition: Understanding of Revenue Recognition standards.
- CRM and Tools: Experience with Salesforce CRM, FinancialForce, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Deal Desk Processes: Developed and maintained standard deal desk processes, approval matrices, and order terms.
- Global Collaboration: Proven experience working effectively with a global team.
