Job description

Role:Network Engineer Location: Coimbatore Exp. 4 to 10 years Location: Coimbatore

Network Design and Architecture: Senior administrators should be able to design
network topologies, taking into account scalability, redundancy, and security. They
should have a deep understanding of networking protocols and technologies.
2. Routing and Switching: Proficiency in configuring and managing routers and switches,
including protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and VLAN configuration.
3. Network Security: Expertise in network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection
systems, VPNs, and the ability to secure the network against threats and vulnerabilities.
4. Network Protocols: In-depth knowledge of networking protocols like TCP/IP, DNS,
DHCP, FTP, and more.
5. Subnetting and IP Addressing: Ability to plan, allocate, and manage IP address schemes
and subnets.
6. Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, and
containerization like Docker.
7. Load Balancing: Proficiency in load balancer configurations and methodologies for
distributing network traffic.
8. Network Monitoring and Management: Using tools like SNMP, NetFlow, and others to
monitor network performance and manage network resources.
9. Network Troubleshooting: Skills in diagnosing and resolving network issues, both
proactively and reactively.
10. Network Protocols and Services: Configuring and managing network protocols like
DHCP, DNS, NTP, and others.
11. Wireless Networking: Setting up and securing wireless networks, including knowledge of
Wi-Fi standards, encryption, and authentication methods.
12. Cloud Networking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts and experience working
with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
13. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
to automate network tasks and streamline configurations.
14. Network Hardware: Knowledge of different network hardware, such as routers, switches,
firewalls, load balancers, and their configurations.
15. Documentation and Reporting: Ability to maintain comprehensive network
documentation and generate reports for stakeholders.
16. Project Management: Experience in managing network-related projects, including
planning, execution, and documentation.
17. Team Management and Leadership: For senior roles, the ability to lead and mentor
junior network administrators or network engineering teams.
18. Vendor-specific Certifications: Depending on the specific hardware or software used in
the network, certifications from vendors like Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), Juniper
(JNCIA, JNCIP, JNCIE), or others may be beneficial.
19. Business Acumen: Understanding the organization's business objectives and aligning
network infrastructure with those goals.
20. Adaptability: Keeping up with the latest networking trends and technologies and being
able to adapt to changes in the industry.
