Purpose of the position

b.What will happen if there is no one in the position (no one performs the work)
a.Responsible for planning and conducting Full vehicle Crash & Sled testing, perform detailed analysis of test, prepared report and provide design solution to achieve the performance target requirements for the product being tested for all the PV and EV programs.
Some of the key tasks to be performed by the employee are:
1.Identifying test requirements and understand the gaps in meeting performance criteria's as per the target safety assessment requirements.
2.Evaluate data against known criteria's - using crash test analysis software's like Diadem, PC evaluation, High speed motion analysis, CMM data.
3.Working with Design/CAE teams to understand the feasibility of performance improvement solution.
4.Ensure the latest regulations requirements are captured in the test process requirements.
If no one is appointed in this position then the team will not have direction/ownership to perform tests, perform detailed analysis of test results and provide solutions to meet performance target requirements. Also there will be no one to liaison between CAE and testing team.

1Knowledge of vehicle construction & principles in design
2.Knowledge of safety regulations of India and Europe.
3.Knowledge of Global NCAP and EuroNCAP protocols.
4.Knowledge of test equipments and procedures.
5.Knowledge of IPR
6.Knowledge of CAPEX execution
7.Knowledge of EPS and 8D tools.
8.Knowledge of occupant safety in different types of crash tests.
9.Knowledge of sensing systems, dummy calibration, dummy construction.
Relevant Experience :
3-8 years of experience in the field of Automotive safety testing.

1 Primary Tasks
1. Responsible for conducting Full vehicle, sub system and component level tests.
2. Responsible for analysing test data and publish report with inputs to achieve performance targets.
3. Evaluate data against known criteria's - using crash test analysis software's like Diadem, PC evaluation, High speed motion analysis.
4. Responsible for planning the test, preparing test schedule, monitoring the preparation & ensuring a test completion in time.
5. Identifying needs for engineering capability development & work on specific items to plan procurement.
2 Activities which aid primary tasks
1. Identifying test requirements and understand the gaps in meeting performance requirements.
2. Working with design/CAE teams to understand the feasibility of performance improvement solution.
3. Understand the updates in the new regulation drafts and work on updation of internal test setups and formats.
4. Test planning and scheduling.
5. Planning for equipments, manpower for execution of test.
6. Planning for development of new test facility/capability.
7. Planning for purchase of new equipment's.
8. Analyse data and publish report.
9. Compare data with benchmark data for suitable improvement.
10. Discussing test requirements with projects team.
11. Solving technical problems in execution of test.
12. Communicating test requirements and test procedure to test members.
