We are seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Tableau Developer with at least 4 years of industry experience. The ideal candidate would be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying data visualizations using Tableau.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop effective data models in Tableau to support business requirements and enhance data visualization capabilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and translate them into actionable Tableau designs
- Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau's best practices and guidelines
- Optimize Tableau performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing performance-tuning techniques
- Conduct data analysis to identify data trends, patterns, and insights, and present findings to stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features and functionalities, and evaluate their potential use within the organization
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Tableau developers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Tableau with other BI tools such as PowerBI and Looker, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across platforms
- Conduct Tableau training sessions for end-users to promote self-service analytics capabilities
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Tableau Developer.
- Proven experience as a Tableau Developer or related role, implementing BI solutions using Tableau.
- Solid understanding of data visualization concepts, design principles, and industry best practices.
- Expertise in creating calculated fields, sets, hierarchies, data blending, and advanced Tableau functions.
- Strong SQL skills to efficiently query, analyze, transform, and optimize data for Tableau consumption.
- Experience working with large data sets and databases, preferably Snowflake, SQL Server or Oracle.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes to design efficient, scalable, and reliable Tableau solutions.
- Experience with other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Tableau certification is a plus.
- Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, DataStage, SSIS, etc.
- Understanding of other BI tools like Power BI, Qlikview, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
