Job description

A highly successful division of one of the worlds most recognised brands has a new vacancy for an Area Sales Manager to join its precision engineering division in the UK. You will be responsible for leading and developing the sales teams for the Midlands and North of England and candidates are sought with experience gained within precision engineering, tooling or metal cutting sectors.




Commutable from: Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Chester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Leeds.


Salary: £ 50,000 - £ 62,000 + company car + bonus + healthcare + benefits 


Suitable for: Sales Manager, Sales Director, Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager.




The Role

You will manage and develop a team representing the company’s comprehensive product range, supplied to a diverse mix of customers in the automotive, aerospace, power generation, oil & gas, medical, mold & die and medical sectors.

An experienced Sales Manager, you will lead, mentor and guide the team through education, joint sales calls, solution development and problem resolution to develop new business and retain accounts. The role will be responsible for building strategic plans for territory growth and identifying new revenue streams and business opportunities.

A key member of the senior management team, you will work with the groups product development and commercial teams to develop new innovate products for market and will keep up to date with the industries latest trends and technologies.




The Person

Industry related experience in manufacturing, metalworking, tooling or precision engineering is essential.
Proven track record or leading, mentoring, and developing sales teams.
You will possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
A self-directed, results oriented leader with strong technical proficiency with a proven track record of working at strategic levels.
Excellent negotiating skills.
