Job description
Job Description: As a Senior Backend Engineer at NextQuest, you will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power our applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend development, product, and design, to deliver high-quality and performant solutions. We are seeking a candidate with expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, MongoDB, and MySQL, who can provide technical leadership and contribute to the evolution of our backend architecture.
Responsibilities: Backend Development: Lead the design and implementation of backend services and APIs using Node.js, JavaScript, MongoDB, and MySQL. Architecture and Scalability: Contribute to the architectural decisions and scalability planning of backend systems to support the growing needs of our applications. Database Design and Optimization: Design and optimize database schemas for MongoDB and MySQL. Implement efficient and scalable database queries. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems. Code Quality and Best Practices: Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance optimizations in backend systems to ensure high availability and responsiveness. Security: Implement and advocate for security best practices in backend development. Requirements: - 3+ Years of Industry experience as a Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, MongoDB, and MySQL. - Strong understanding of backend development fundamentals, including API design, database design, and server-side architecture. - Experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Nice to Have: - Experience with Next.js, React.js. - Knowledge of Node.js, MongoDB & MySQL.Job tags
