Job description
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Innovation Manager to join our university-based incubation center programs in India
- As the Innovation Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation, fostering entrepreneurship, and supporting the growth of start-ups within our ecosystem
- You will be responsible for leading and managing the incubation centers innovation programs, as well as collaborating with various stakeholders to create an environment conducive to the development of groundbreaking ideas and technologies
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote innovation and entrepreneurship within the incubation center.
- Provide guidance and support to start-ups in their ideation, prototyping, and commercialization efforts.
- Identify and engage with potential entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and industry partners to enhance the incubation centers network and resources.
- Evaluate start-up proposals and business plans, assessing their viability and potential impact.
- Mentor and coach start-up founders, offering valuable insights and advice to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and networking events to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and learning among start-ups and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure funding opportunities for start-ups and support their fundraising efforts.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovation methodologies to ensure the incubation center remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs: The Innovation Manager is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvement.
- This may involve analyzing training feedback, tracking participant performance metrics, and assessing the impact of training on business and quality outcomes. Should be able to create a report with metrix and KPIs.
- Managing the training budget: The Innovation Manager is responsible for managing the training budget and ensuring that programs are delivered within budget constraints.
- Collaborating with stakeholders: The Innovation Manager collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization, including senior leaders, department managers, and subject matter experts, to ensure that training programs meet organizational needs and priorities.
- Identifying trainers/metors who suits for designed programs objective and coordinating and monitoring them to ensure program deliverables.
- Work closely with the project owner and team members to plan and deliver successful outcomes for program stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure project outcomes are met.
- Deliver results against established business goals, objectives, and timelines.
- Deploy program assessment protocols for evaluation, feedback, and improvements.
- Identify and track quality, operational execution, and customer success metrics.
- Should be able to handle cross functions across organization on need basis.
- Generate and present required reports and updates to program leads.
- Develop and maintain a diverse set of business relationships during program engagements.
- Role involves travelling on need basis.
- To follow and inculcate a sense of discipline and code of conduct as per the need of organization.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an incubation center, start-up, or innovation-driven organization.
- Bachelors degree in business administration, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the start-up ecosystem, including experience with ideation, prototyping, and commercialization processes.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to effectively lead and coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including start-up founders, industry professionals, and investors.
- Proven track record in identifying and nurturing innovative ideas, products, or services.
- Familiarity with fundraising and investment processes for start-ups.
- Passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and making a positive impact in the business and social sectors.
