Tool Maintenance Head

Position Summary :

Responsible for proper upkeep and maintenance of Tools & Instrumentation systems to minimize production loss and production downtime and to promote efficiency

Essential/Primary Responsibilities :

Executive Support:

1. Assist production head in developing the short term and long term tool maintenance strategy for the company in line with the overall production plan
2. Contribute to the achievement of target production quantity as per stipulated quality and cost standards by ensuring appropriate tool maintenance, rework or replacement of the tool
3. Participate in the budgeting exercise for the Tool Maintenance department and provide inputs on the maintenance cost estimate and other utility costs
4. Identify opportunities and follow up on activities related to the development of domestic spares and reworking on tolls to reduce cost
5. Ensure timely maintenance services for all tool maintenance activities in the plant as per the planned production requirement
6. Maintain strict adherence to norms laid down for quality and provide an update on any possible compliance-related issue
7. Evaluate tools suppliers and provide rating according to the quality and cost
8. Ensure minimizing production disruptions owing to breakdowns due to tool maintenance
9. Ensure strict adherence to all statutory requirements in the tool room operations and compliance of all regulatory requirements and standards like ISO, TS, OHSAS, and TPM

Experience & Education :

• Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology 5 to 10 Years

Skills & Abilities :

• Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Working experience in SAP will carry the added advantage
