Job description
Job Title: Sr. Design Engineer
Location: Gokul Shirgaon Kolhapur
Responsibilities - Designing pumping systems, components, and parameters and creating detailed engineering drawings using Solidworks
- Answering technical inquiries from customers and assisting manufacturing and marketing departments with technical parameters
- Preparation and updating of product documents, including catalogues, brochures, user and technical manuals, and IOMs
- Preparation of 3D and 2D pump component models in Solidworks and releasing them for manufacturing
- Assisting the product managers with mechanical design calculations
- Preparing proposal assemblies for new product development
- Preparing GA and CS drawings for customized orders using AutoCAD
- Preparing base frames for pumpsets and pumping packages
- Supporting product managers with drawings submissions and design calculations
- Performing ECN and design changes related to split-case pumps
- Participating in VA/VE activities related to split-case pumps
- Providing technical support to the sales and marketing teams
Requirements - BE Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of experience in design engineering
- Fluent in Solidworks software
- Ability to prepare approval documents required as per project specifications/manuals, catalogues, etc.
- Ability to develop components and products from scratch to finished product and ability to conceptualize and analyze complex designs
- Able to quickly grasp new technical information and communicate it clearly to others
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in mechanical design of various types of centrifugal pumps, bill of material preparation, and technical execution of orders
