Job description

As a Sustainability Business Manager, you will be responsible for leading ESG initiatives and driving sustainability for Intertek's clients.

Your key responsibilities include: 1.Sales and Business Development: • Drive sales from new clients, focusing on understanding client needs, proposing solutions, and building strong relationships. • Leverage your experience especially in building sales pipeline, to enhance business opportunities.

2. Strategic Planning: • Develop and implement strategies for ESG, sustainability, and business development in alignment with organizational goals.

3. Client Relationship Management: • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their sustainability needs are met and exploring opportunities for continuous business.

4. Collaboration and Coordination: • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and vendors for effective project control and management.

Qualification: M. Sc / MBA Technical Certifications: Relevant certifications related to sustainability and business management.

Experience: 7 to 8 years of overall experience with a focus on sales from new clients, preferably from a Big 4 background.

Expertise at: Proven track record in sales and business development. In-depth knowledge of environment, social, and governance compliances. Strong leadership skills and experience managing major projects. Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative management style. Budget development and oversight experience.

Behaviour and Aptitude: Persuasive with details and facts. Commitment to high professional ethical standards. Positive attitude & solution-oriented mindset. Excellent people management skills and a collaborative work style. Effective communication skills help to receive and convoy information, ideas and messages in the ways that are powerful and appropriate to the situation. Entrepreneurial drive to proactively initiate new initiatives, grow from a small base and operate under quick experimentation high ambiguity environment. Willingness to reach out to clients for business development matters and preparation of proposals. Willingness to travel and work in India and on occasions overseas. Analysis & Judgement - quickly understands and analyses complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgements.
