Job description

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date. 

Salary 08-10 LPA.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

· Planning, coordinating and supervising technology changes; providing technical support to resolve IT issues

· Monitoring & managing local infrastructure and migrating equipment (both server & network) to latest technologies

· Collaborating with all departments to conduct analysis, investigation & diagnosis of root cause of problems; updating metrics for service performance and ensuring internal customer satisfaction on a regular basis

· Defining service standards and guidelines, governance structure that serve as benchmark for excellent service delivery

· Leading security/ support projects including budgeting, planning, vendor selection, management and execution

· Managing daily operations to ensure that the network and the infrastructure are up & running

· Engaging & coordinating with vendors for critical issues, escalations & governance calls

· Driving monthly service reviews & evolution forums with client, integration with project counterparts including proactive problem management, daily change calls, incident management

· Setting out standards for various operational areas; implementing quality systems & procedures to facilitate a high-quality customer experience, while adhering to the SLAs

· Mentoring & monitoring the performance of team members to ensure efficiency in process

· Developing technical design documentation & implementation strategies towards addressing single points of failure in IT services used in the delivery of core business applications

· Consolidation of server, storage & network, thereby realizing operational savings

· Rendering strategic advice to the senior management on all matters related to the management and development of the Information Security and InfrastructureKnowledge Requirement: Back up Solutions, MSSQL DB, MySQL DB, Fortinet Firewall, Load Balancing , Server Management , OS- Windows , Linux .

Roles of a Database Administrator

1. Database Back-Up: A DBA is responsible for backing up all the data in the database of that organization constantly, which is necessary to restore operations during disaster and downtime.

2. Database accessibility: A database administrator is responsible for periodically guaranteeing  database accessibility to users.

3. Database restoration: When necessary, a database administrator is responsible for recovering a file from a backup state.

4. Design of a database: A database administrator is responsible for creating a database that satisfies the needs of users. As a result, knowledge of database architecture is essential for an administrator.

5. Data transfer: A database administrator is in charge of migrating a database set, for example, from a physical base to a cloud base or from an existing application to a new application.

6. Database Upgradation: When a new update for database software is available, a database administrator is in-charge to upgrade database software files to shield the software from security flaws.

7. Database patch: The database administrator is in charge of making sure the database system operates flawlessly during new database software upgrades and working to fill in any gaps.
