Job description
Primary Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and manage Linux servers
• Develop and maintain automated scripts and tools for system deployment and monitoring
• Set up and maintain a robust Linux-based network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls,
Load balancers and VPNs.
• Design and implement effective backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical
data
• Identify areas for infrastructure enhancement and propose and implement innovative solutions
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and procure hardware and software for Linux
infrastructure upgrades and expansions
• Plan and execute strategies to scale Linux infrastructure, proactively anticipating and meeting
business growth demands
• Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configurations,
procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related fields.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, with a strong focus on Linux
systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, administration, and command-line tools.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization technologies containerization including Docker and
Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in anyone scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl, with a keen eye for
automation opportunities.
• Experience in Ansible and IaaC tools
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, services, and security best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-
functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide timely solutions.
• Working knowledge in any of public cloud platform
• Certifications such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), Red Hat Certified
Engineer (RHCE), or similar credentials are a plus.
