Job description (Storage Engineer) Minimum 9 to 12 years of experience in Storage Operations, Administration & Implementation on EMC Storage arrays (VNX, Unity, XIO, ISILON) Experience in Designing, Configuring and troubleshooting iSCSI & Fabric Environment constituting Brocade & Nexus switches Strong Knowledge on Performance analysis factors of Storage Arrays Proven experience with data replication (SAN& NAS), snapshots and virtualization technology Good experience in Recover point replication and Isilon SyncIQ tools Good experience in Storage migration from multiple storage vendor arrays Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex issues Able to communicate clearly with peers as well as management Solving complicated Hardware cases and Liaising with Hardware Vendor/NAS support In depth Knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem Management, Configuration management and Change Management processes. Advanced trouble shooting skills and identify the severity of the issue, Ability to Resolving issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA Added advantages Certification on EMC SAN & NAS technology is an added advantage. Added advantages skills in Backup & HCI products such as data domain, Avamar, VxRail & VxRack Maintain partnerships and leverage market technologies associated with SAN vendors, product enhancements Willingness to participate in oncall rota and Ability to adapt to working in global organizations Excellent German language skills in writing and speaking (ideally mother tongue) Excellent English language skills Desire to work in an international team with different cultures Work Location is Mannheim area in Germany (1.) To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue (2.) To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time (3.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (4.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, Training freshers, coaching analysts (5.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases
