Horizon Role : Software Engineer
Horizon Job: DWH/BI Developer
JR. Experience- 2 to 3 Years
SR. Experience-3.5 to 6 Years
Key responsibilities:
Design, develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code according to
functional, non-functional and technical design specifications in Agile/Waterfall
Understand High Level Design, Application Interface Design & build Low Level Design
as per specifications. Perform application analysis & propose technical solution for
application enhancement or resolve production issues
Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provides fixes and workarounds,
and reviews changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.
Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical
systems and delivering high-availability and performance
Perform Development & Deployment. Should be able to write well designed,
testable, efficient Code, Unit Test & Deploy
Creation necessary documentation for all project deliverable phases
Handle Production Issues (Tier 2 Support, weekend on-call rotation) to resolve
production issues & ensure SLAs are met
Technical Skills: Main Skill – Java + Cloud
Mandatory
o Mandatory and Hands on experience in Core Java Programming – Core java,
Spring Core
o Knowledge of developing and consuming Web services using XML, SOAP, and /
or WSDL standards, REST interfaces/APIs and Microservices architecture
o Hands on experience of web/application servers – Tomcat, Wildfly or Jboss etc.
o Hands on experience of Relational database (Oracle/Postgres), SQLs and PL/SQL
queries.
o Hands on experience Unix commands & Shell scripting.
o DevOps and CI;CD Tools
Good to have
o Azure Cloud knowledge or equivalent or fundamental concepts
o Experience of Lift and Shift or Modernization in Java Technology
o Java/Webservers based environments fundamentals
o Linux, Unix & advance scripting
o Telecom/Datawarehouse domain knowledge
