Job description:
Purpose This role is responsible for defining the system integration strategy and configuring, installing and validating IDEMIAs solutions that best addresses customers' requirements and optimize IDEMIAs business value. Key MissionsAs a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. Your focus will be on automating processes, improving collaboration between development and operations teams, and enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software build, test, and deployment processes.
Ensure timely and reliable delivery of software releases.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Manage and automate infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
Create and maintain infrastructure configurations as code to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Collaboration:
Foster collaboration between development and operations teams to streamline communication and workflow.
Work closely with developers, testers, and system administrators to optimize the software delivery process.
Automation:
Automate manual and repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
Implement and maintain automated testing, monitoring, and deployment solutions.
Configuration Management:
Implement and manage configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet) to ensure consistent environments across development, testing, and production.
Security:
Implement security best practices in the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies.
Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices.
Ensure that documentation is accessible and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in DevOps or relevant technologies.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
