As  Product Manager, Visa Commercial Data Solutions , you will be part of the VCS Data Solutions which is part of the broader Global Card Products and Platforms team which is responsible for all cardable solutions for businesses and public entities globally, providing payment and value-added services to businesses, corporations and governments.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the core data platform and supporting various business initiatives for Visa Commercial Data Solutions including File Delivery capabilities. The role will also focus on working with other product managers to contribute to the overall data platform strategy and vision. In addition, you will focus on execution of a global roadmap working with other product managers, 3rd party partners, Visa Technology, Global and Regional teams to deliver functionality to meet issuer and client needs.

The role requires analytical, collaborative and technical product skills. In addition, the role is required to have a deep understanding of the Visa Commercial Data Solutions platform, ensure change to the platforms are executed on time and budget, and that Issuer and client impacts are understood, communicated, and managed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Product Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the product features & initiatives for the core data and file delivery platforms, and deliver substantial value to VCS Issuers & Clients

• In this role, the Product Manager will work closely with business teams, engineering, architects, global cross-functional counterparts to build, scalable & competitive platforms that can meet global market needs

• Responsible for supporting platform modernization and client migration efforts through outreach to clients, internal stakeholders & technology partners

• Responsible for writing very clear, thorough, and detailed user stories for features and product sets

• Having a ‘Can do attitude’ and work with technology teams to develop use cases, and prioritize user stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that aligned with product strategy.

• Responsible for conducting User Acceptance Testing to ensure successful business releases.

• Hands on data exploration and analyses of large data sets to enable data driven stories and product features.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
· 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
· 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 +years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
· This position requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience working with commercial card solutions or platforms.
· Working experience with Hadoop big data & API environments in banking/payments industry as well as understanding of payments industry data and metrics is desirable.
· Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices and should be well versed with agile processes and methodologies.
· The role requires strong interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams to implement and assess the operational impact of changes to processes/procedures.
· Strong ability to multi-task, organize, manage, and implement complex projects whether directly or through supervision of a designated Product Manager.
· Demonstrated expertise/power user in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word) and experience with MS Office Access.
· Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
· Excellent business ethics is required, the successful candidate will have experience, and demonstrated success in the above listed core competencies.
· Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented.
· Experience in working with Issuers and clients in the financial industry with data system skills is preferred.
