Job Description

Business Development Engineer – South Asia

Location: Mumbai

Roles & Responsibilities:

Business Development

Prospect New Growth Market Outside the regular sales (SPA & Oleris)

Business development and technical support for key accounts, and explore BD opportunity, Prospecting for new customers/applications, initate NPD when there is good quality opportunities

Participate in meeting organized by market manager or Application BD leader and hunting in the region

Marketing & benchmarking

Participate in local trade organization to develop industry network

Contribute to marketing plans by providing relevant market information in particular competition benchmarking

Work with relative team (RD, Product, TS, Sales) to conduct market research and analysis,

Reporting/organization

Clear and regular reporting: monthly report, customers visit reports, opportunity inputs etc.

Market Prospections using the guidelines using different tools like S&P Global, Statistica, Frost&Suvillian.

Prospect the new start-ups, exports, localized manufacturing etc.

Market general trends/segmentation/regulatory environment, identify technical details on applications or competition solution.

Define Value Chain for the New Markets and identify Key Players and Contact list (names,emails,positions)

Qualification

Bachelor degree in chemical, material science / engineering.

Experience

>3 years of experience in technical applications in the polymer market.

Ability to travel 50% in the region South Asia.

Analytical & problem solving with innovative business mindset.

Interpersonal, communication, presentation skills.

To be versatile and able to think inside and outside of the box.
