Role Description The position is for a back-end development leader/Architect in the product development for Scitara working with the global engineering team. Scitara is looking for an experienced Technical Leader who will own technical vision of the product and drive it by leading the software development team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in backend development, strong leadership qualities, and passion for quality and cutting-edge technology. Key Responsibilities · Lead the vision for back-end development, design and implement scalable and maintainable architectures. · Define application scope and objectives and prepare the technical and/or design specifications from which software will be developed by a team of developers. · Lead the back-end development team by providing technical guidance and mentoring to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. · Perform technical design reviews, code reviews, and system test reviews. · Look at improvement areas to existing system and propose/drive the next generation system design. · Implement and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and participate in testing activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. · Interface with the Product Management, Architects, backend team to understand and influence project requirements. · Deep dive on production issues for root cause analysis and fastest turnaround time to the customer issues. · Drive the evolution of our technology stack, staying up to date with the latest industry trends. · Mentor and Share knowledge with team to make sure they grow technically. · Identify and propose Proof-of-concepts required for future releases. Ideal Candidate Educational Qualifications Bachelor/Master of Engineering or equivalent in Computer Engineering, IT or related field Experience · 15+ years of hands-on experience in backend development · Experience with agile software development lifecycle · Experience in working with Web Sockets · Experience with Atlassian suite of tools · Experience with informatics applications or GxP compliant applications is preferred. · Experience in development and execution of validation test cases Desired Skills · Deep understanding of MEAN (Mongo-Express -Angular Js-Node Js) or MERN (Mongo-Express-React-Node Js) stack. · Knowledge of working with cloud frameworks (AWS, Azure, GCP), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Travis) · Messaging/queuing protocols (i.e. socket.io, RabbitMQ) · Knowledge working with unit test tools/strategies (Mocha, Chai, Cucumber) · Must have Strong communication skills including technical documentation, written reports and proposals, development and delivery of presentations and the ability to listen to and communicate effectively with customers and vendors. · Attitude and aptitude to lead the team technically from the front. · Demonstrated ability to work with product management, system architects, services team to understand the requirements, problems and design the solutionsJob tags
