Windows R And D Engineer (Job Code : J47184)

The Windows R&D Engineers at our Client are responsible for designing and implementing Active Defense actuators on Windows endpoints and servers. They work very closely with the research wing and the product management team of our organization.
As a Windows R&D Engineer, your primary responsibilities would be:
• Design and develop the Windows based components for our Cyber Deception and Active Defense platform.
• Develop and implement components using various programming languages like PowerShell, C#, C++, and Python.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Implement security at every stage of the component – as your code/components will come in direct contact with the world's deadliest attackers and malware.
• Devote a able percentage of time learning about new trends in cybersecurity.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex issues and bugs.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in system design and development.
The following are a must have for this role:
• Engineering degree in Computer Science.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in Windows software development at product companies.
• Very strong programming skills.
• Professional experience with one or more programming languages: C#, C/C++, Python.
• Solid understanding of the Windows Operating System.
• Solid understanding of windows platform features – application registry, access control, services, startup programs etc.
• Good understanding of computer networking.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Sound knowledge of distributed systems and cloud computing.
• Good communication skills and an attitude to find solutions by interacting with engineers across teams.
The following are an added plus. Ideal candidates will have at least a few of the following:
• Experience with PowerShell.
• Exposure to sysinternals (Windows internals).
• Experience with Networking or Security product companies.
• Understanding of how networks work.
• Hands-on experience with building systems from scratch.
• Experience of working in a fast paced/startup environment.
• Hands-on experience with network stacks.
• Hands-on experience with encryption mechanisms.
• Additional hands-on experience with a scripting language.
