Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). For this specific role, the requirement is 3 days per week at the moment, with all days in office during first three months of joining.

Introduction:
Support the execution and ongoing development of a key new regulation: margin for the non-centrally cleared derivatives (Uncleared swap margin rules). The regulation stems from a set of G20 financial reforms and team ensure Barclays remains compliant with the global regulatory requirements.
What will you be doing?
• Performing margin analysis for counterparties from the perspective of Reg IM regulations for Uncleared derivatives
• Monitoring and oversight of counterparties subject to margin for non-centrally cleared derivatives portfolios
• Work with Sales and Trading on the internal pricing queries and also come up with proposals for optimizing IM collateral requirements via risk neutral trade structures
• Providing oversight to Operations team who support the daily IM calls, disputes to ensure timely resolutions
• Performing regulatory model governance tasks & driving the strategic IT deliverables
What we’re looking for:
• Experience working within front office or suitable business or model focused quantitative role
• Experience of managing a complex regulatory driven processes or client facing structuring role
• Experience in building risk and/or margin models and technical understanding
• Front office quantitative or analytical experience from top tier investment bank
• Experience in working within regulatory margin team
• Experience of pricing OTC derivatives from trading or structuring role
• Excellent knowledge of Investment Banking Markets businesses
• Understanding of EMIR, Dodd-Frank regulatory reforms including margin for non-centrally derivatives
• Understanding of OTC derivatives pricing, risk including value-at-risk, historical simulation and VCV (variance covariance)
• Understanding of risk, margin and collateral management practices
• Understanding of OTC bilateral trade lifecycle & front-to-back flows
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Understanding of first and second order risk sensitivities
• Understanding of collateral management function
• Understanding of relational database & SQL coding
• Coding skills in Python or R
