Position: Control's Engineer

Job Description:

Candidate will be a part of global systems engineering team for Copeland's HVACR business supporting multiple internal customers. Provide end to end control systems engineering and design solutions including but not limited to selection of sensors and transducers, selection of PLC hardware & DAQ's, design of control circuits, PID loops, PLC/SCADA programming etc. Candidate will closely work with other cross-functional teams coming from various domains like refrigeration, air-conditioning, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, CAD Design, compressor engineering, prototype testing labs with converging project goals. Candidate may be required to be a part of other business critical initiatives like development of functional software codes for internal use. Work on various PLC/SCADA platforms like Open Automation Software , iFix, Yokogawa, Opto22, AB and/or others.

Eligibility:

BE Instrumentation with 3-5 years of technical domain expertise & hands-on experience in industrial automation sector. Hands on experience on working with Open Automation Software is required. Fundamental understanding of PLC functionality & working principles. Agility to work on multiple PLC brands. Should be hands on PLC and SCADA programing. Prior exposure to sourcing, procurement and vendor interactions is desired. Strong verbal and written communication with presentation skills. Ability to handle complex information and application of knowledge to solve critical problems. Working knowledge in C, C++, C#, VB, .NET is an added advantage but not necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with global cross-cultural teams comprising engineering leaders, project managers, supervisors & engineers for completion of projects in time and cost constraints with highest quality standards.
  • Complete responsibility and ownership of projects and other assignments along with all relevant project documentation and project records
  • Participate in regular project updates and report project status.
  • Follow all the established processes and standards defined as necessary for due discharge of duties & project activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring the outcome of project is in-line with customer expectations & business goals.
  • Responsible for day-to-day co-ordination with team members and supervisor to ensure that the project is on track and all stakeholders are well informed.
  • Play assigned role in version control and PLM of automation and software solutions provided by the team.
  • Role may involve 10% travel.
