Brief Summary:

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations and employee relations.

The Finance Manager is responsible for operations of the company, including financial statement preparation, cash management, budget preparation and analyses, payroll management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, statutory compliances, expense report reconciliation, collections, and payroll)
  • Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Responsible for cash management, including performing payment transfers and maintaining lines of credit
  • Maintain professional banking relationships
  • Coordinate and direct the development and preparation of budgets, forecasts, and projections
  • Coordinate with Statutory auditors and finalize annual audit
  • Process payroll and ensure timely payment of payroll and related taxes
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, bank reports, and various detailed analysis reports
  • Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements for Finance function
  • Negotiate company's insurance policies or as often as fiscally beneficial (physical damage, liability, worker's compensation, employee health insurance) and oversee the claims submission process to ensure loss control measures are being adhered to
  • Maintain financial records (physical documents)

This position reports to the CFO

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and statutory compliances in India
  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and reasoning abilities with superior numeric skills
  • Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication, verbal, and written skills
  • Must be result and profit oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations and perform duties
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently and multi-task
  • Ability to manage and direct employees
  • Expert computer skills – proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Outlook Express.

Qualification
  • MBA in Finance or Chartered Accountant with 7 years+ post qualification experience in Accounting/Finance function;
  • Strongly preferred Minimum of 3 years+ experience in a sales driven customer service organization, preferably in a service industry
  • Quick Book accounting software – Mandatory hands-on Experience of 3+ years
