Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Strategic planning and Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive Azure DevOps strategy in alignment with organizational goals. Lead, mentor and manage a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
2.Security, Compliance and Monitoring Ensure Azure resources and infrastructure are configured securely following best practices. Ensure integration of compliance and vulnerability checks in pipelines. Establish health monitoring and alerting system for vulnerable systems. 3.Release Coordination Manage and coordinate all activities related to software releases, including code integration, testing, deployment, and rollback procedures. 4.Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment Drive the implementation and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines, automating software delivery processes for multiple environments. 5.DevOps Tooling Provide guidance on the tools and services to be used for build, packaging and deployment based on the nature of applications. Progress adoption and maximize efficiency of DevOps tooling Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes 6.Documentation, Training and Best practices Maintain detailed documentation of release activities, version histories, and any issues encountered during the release process. Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill team members, ensuring adoption of best practices and efficient utilization of azure devops capabilities. 7.Process Improvement Define the best practices to be followed for code check in, build, deployment, and branching. 8.Database and application hosting Manage the hosting service for global applications to maintain uptime SLAs of systems, proactive review of systems health and plan initiatives to further improve systems resiliency. Qualification - Bachelors/Masters in the field of Computer Science/IT Technical Certifications - Should have Azure Administrator (AZ-104) Certification (Preferred) Should have (AZ-400) Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions Certification (Preferred) Expertise at Git / GitHub Azure DevOps PowerShell scripting JSON / YAML scripting Pipelines GUI Test Plans JIRA Docker and Containerization Behaviour and Aptitude Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and convey information to stakeholders effectively. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse issues, develop solutions, and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial to ensure that releases are error-free and meet quality standards. Leadership: Leadership skills to guide teams and keep them motivated during the release process.
