Job description
Key Responsibilities: Solution Design: Develop comprehensive architectural designs and solutions leveraging Ellucian products to meet the specific needs of educational institutions. Ensure alignment with industry best practices, scalability, and flexibility to accommodate future growth. Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on Ellucian technologies, providing guidance and leadership to technical teams throughout the project lifecycle. Lead architectural discussions, present recommendations, and drive consensus among stakeholders. Requirements Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs. Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate potential solutions to address institutional challenges. Integration and Customization: Design integration strategies to seamlessly connect Ellucian systems with other third-party applications and data sources. Define standards for customization and extension of Ellucian products to meet unique institutional requirements. Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of Ellucian solutions. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends impacting higher education IT environments. Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders across various departments, including IT, academic affairs, finance, and student services. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences. Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and configuration guides. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to build institutional expertise. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance existing Ellucian implementations through process improvements, technology upgrades, and innovation. Stay informed about Ellucian product releases and updates to leverage new features and functionality. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing solutions within the Ellucian ecosystem, including Banner, Colleague, and Power Campus. Strong understanding of higher education processes, workflows, and institutional requirements. Proven track record of leading complex technical projects from conception to delivery. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman, is desirable. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Certifications in Ellucian products or related technologies are a plus.
