Purpose: To Lead and motivate the Product Supply Team in the SCM India Organization.
Manage the purchasing function of the company and ensuring that the products are available On-Time and In Full to meet customer demand in a manner that will optimize financial return to brands and minimize overall Supply Chain costs.
Initiate, develop, execute, and control the domestic development cycle in close coordination with sourcing, marketing, and sales.
Liaise with the India LO and plan the supplies of the goods into the DC, leading the Local Supply Planning function in close coordination with the CTC, Channels, Finance, OBF functions.
Lay down a seasonal forecast plan to align domestic (GVF) as well as imports (ILS/IPP) production capacities. Follow and align the global forecast practices. Align with CTC and DP on the forecasts and ensure that the forecasts are in sync with the overall company targets.
Lead the ILA/VAS tool and ensure 100% compliance to the ILA/VAS policy as well as the compliances needed for the India Legal Metrology Act.
Generate and share timely and effective MIS with the stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various divisions within the adidas & lay down a seasonal domestic development calendar and other Pre-Season activities
- Act as a single point of contact for all departments for addressing all issues pertaining to creation & execution of development calendars
- Coordinate key buy initiatives and provide Senior Management with status reports
- Monitor forecast and purchase process to determine appropriate quantities to meet the demand for each individual category; Accountable to influence the appropriate production and inventory positions for a Business Unit(s)
- Monitor right products are procured at right time in right quantity in alignment with Global Supply Planning, market Logistics and LO India
- Tracking purchasing KPI’s - ensuring the highest sales order and forecast coverage against Purchase Orders in close collaboration with Inventory Management and Order Fulfilment. Take corrective action where necessary
- Develop tools and guidelines to support / control business principles and efficient processes within Demand/ Supply chain Operations
- Identify critical supply chain constraints and determine actions to overcome supply problems of critical products
- Develop and maintain requirements, processes, and open communication with key stakeholders
- Lead regular Demand and Supply validation meetings for all business units in conjunction with GSP, Local Supply Planning, demand planning.
- Leads projects to review operational procedures and practices towards the goal of making continuous business improvement. Manages ongoing projects by defining timelines and milestones, writing project briefs, and defining specifications as required.
- Works closely with sourcing to develop short lead time initiatives
- Lead the calendar creation process and escalate issues (if any) to SLT in monthly pre-scheduled S&OP meetings.
- Release monthly ILS/ IPP submissions in close coordination with Demand planning, CTC & MOPS teams.
- Close coordination with EM for pre & post ILS/ IPP submission analysis.
- Work out a parallel domestic forecast mechanism to be released to domestic sourcing teams on seasonal level.
- Submission of monthly purchasing plans to finance, enabling the later to execute hedging of forex.
- Lead ILA/VAS tool for upload of ILA/VAS data in the system as per L&P policy and Indian statutory compliances
- Coordinate on routine basis with the Global Operations Order Management & Purchase planning team
- Addressing and raising of queries on platforms like Workflow Management tool (WFM) & Global Ticketing System (GTS)
- Mapping actual procurement volumes of B2B channel viz-a-viz the forecasted procurement plan.
- Overall responsibility for availability (supply) and fulfillment (shipment ex warehouse according to sales order dates) in day-to-day business for integrated Markets.
- Matching as well as ensuring of OTIF execution of customer deliveries against commercial requirements and commercial prioritization for deliveries to Markets and supporting OTIF execution.
- Leading of meetings to identify critical supply chain constraints and determine actions to overcome problems with respect to supply of critical products (products with confirmed customer date, strategic products, products for Marketing campaigns / launches)
- Day-to-day management of inbound planning and inbound prioritization by deciding of shipment mode (transportation parameters incl. Air-Freightrequests) via in close collaboration with the Markets by considering On Time deliveries vs. costs.
- Responsibility of airfreight budget
- Creation of inbound forecast and warehouse capacity forecast and leading meetings with the Markets and the warehouse management team to determine and optimize staffing requirements of warehouse according to sales order backlog, that Markets meet their month-end targets and the warehouse its target costs.
- Design, structure and implement tactical solution of the Market business model to enable enhanced availability by reduced inventory and costs
- The network relates to the key interface, local Sales, local Order Fulfillment and Customer Service organizations in Markets, the warehouse (from head of warehouse, Senior Retail Director, Senior Sales Director Market to different specialists) and the purchasing team and streamlining of communication process with the different stakeholders.
