Skill: Audio Architect Experience: 10 + years Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Trivandrum, Coimbatore Key Job Responsibilities: - To create software architecture of the system that would fulfil user requirements, and achieve the desired business outcome
- Lead the architecture of (Audio Domain) to deliver a scalable, reliable, modular, and high-quality product design, and guide the software development teams.

- To develop deep expertise in the (domain/product) technologies and work towards building technology roadmap.
- Responsible for the architecture definition and to review a high-level design, consult on the requirement gathering process, and support the overall software delivery.
- Leading the audio architecture and system design for IVI/CDC products
- Owning the audio end-to-end system architecture including SOC, VIP. DSP, AMP & other peripherals
- Consults and influences the customer, intercepting the business needs and leveraging their knowledge to sell existing solutions
- Proposes innovative and business aligned solutions, estimations meeting customer requirements.
- Leads technical discussions with internal and external customers to provide technical differentiation.
- Understands market needs, trends and upgrades domain capability to meet technology competitiveness.
- Analyse and identify requirements and specifications for translation into software architecture
- Documentation for software architecture, design and use guides
- Provides technical Leadership and guidance to software development teams and responsible for building technical competencies.
- Guide the team to develop production ready software, following a defined software development process
- Guide the team to debug complex Audio issues in the system including open-source software (ALSA, ASOC)
- Guide the team System profiling and analysis of Audio related issues (end to end including peripherals)
- Mentors the teams in building of a new competency, guides or provides technical training
- Support the team for complex system design and solutions
- Peer-review the design & developments tasks of the team
- Be a team player, Work both independently and within large global teams
- Focus on quality system performance.
- Agile Methodologies during the entire software lifecycle
Key Indicators: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Electronics (Master's preferred)
- Experience in IVI domain for audio features
- Overall IVI system knowledge including the HW peripherals
- Expertise in Audio Source Management, Audio Pre/post processing, Audio Routing, Amplifiers, A2B/AVB, Android Audio FW & HAL
- 8+ years of experience in software product life cycle and embedded software development using C or C++ language
- 5+ years of experience in Software Architecture definitions
- RTOS & OS (Linux/Android) experience
- Good problem solving skills and analytical thinking
- Embedded Hardware understanding, datasheet, schematics
- Expertise of Audio & DSP concepts
- Knowledge of Audio measurement & tests, usage of tools
- Knowledge of acoustics tuning
- Experience developing embedded real-time safety critical software systems using processes is also desirable
- Experience of configuration management & Defect management tools.
