About Position:

Looking for a Release Manager to design, drive and own the delivery of the various platform and self-service products. The role includes the scheduling, coordination, and management of releases across various portfolios as well as helping product and project teams to manage and deploy releases into production. As owner of the Release Management lifecycle, he or she will work collaboratively with the various R&D teams along the SDLC: Product Design and Development, Test Engineering, Continuous Delivery, SRE, Production and Managed Services to design, influence and execute on development and delivery processes and strategies. This position involves regular communication with the various levels of the organization. Therefore, excellent communication skills and strong technical competency are essential.

What You'll Do:

Lead the release management process from planning and development to deployment and post-release support. Forward-plan release windows and cycles across services and platforms. Develop and maintain release strategies documentation, including release plans, schedules, checklists, and procedures. Work with engineers to understand the impact of code merges and branching. Manage risk and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality. Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and according to goals and expectations. Manage dependencies and risks associated with releases. Track and report on key release metrics Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for the release management process.

Expertise You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Release Manager or in a related role. Proven track record of successfully managing complex software releases (Saas / Cloud environment preferred). In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and tools. Strong understanding of the release management best practices. Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with agile development methodologies. Experience working with code management, continuous integration and tracking tools (Git, Jenkins, Jira are a must). Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is mandatory. Experience with Kubernetes is a plus (Not required)
