What’s important to us:

Techversant is looking for a DBA with a minimum 5 years of experience in handling different relation databases like MSSQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and basic knowledge in non-relational databases. As a Data Base Administrator, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical DBMS systems. The ideal applicant should be able to support different development in optimising queries and fine-tune database servers for optimum performance.

Job Description:

Data modelling & Database Design

• The ability to create an efficient database design considering the application specifications and key designing principles like normalisation, avoid redundancy, atomicity, performance etc.

Performance Management and Tuning

• Able to monitor the database environment and to make changes to data structures, SQL, application logic or the DBMS subsystem to optimise performance.

SQL Coding Knowledge

• Should have in-depth SQL knowledge, support, and review on the SQL queries, recommend changes for optimization.

Procedural Skills

• Able to Design, Debug, Implement, and Maintain stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions that are stored in the DBMS.

Data Security

• Responsible for security infrastructure for production and test databases.

Capacity Planning

• The ability to predict growth based on application and data usage patterns and to implement the necessary database changes to accommodate the growth months.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in any two RDBMS systems.
• At Least 4 years of experience in managing/monitoring DBMS servers.
• Expertise in performance tuning, improving indexes, server parameters, rewriting queries etc.
• Expertise in analyzing existing databases, improve and standardize the data in terms of performance and scalability.
• Experience in any cloud technologies like AWS/Azure.
