Position Summary Under the supervision of the Mechanical supervisor, the Welder operates and maintains machines assigned and required as per LIN SCAN standards.
General responsibilities - Comply always and fully with LIN SCAN IT requirements
- Be quality conscious (dynamic approach towards quality improvement and aim at getting things right first time)
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity and safeguard LIN SCAN trade secrets

Key Responsibilities & Authorities - Proven experience as welder
- Must be minimum 7-year experienced Fabricator.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Proficient in English
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
- Able to read assembly drawings and interpret welding symbols.
- Operates machine such as welding, drilling, etc.
- Maintain the machines as and when required.
- Keeps the machines and workshop area clean and tidy.
- Lays out, positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Installs or repairs equipment. Observes tests on welded surfaces
- Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly and welding operations
- Inspects grooves, angles or gap allowances
- Determines required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry and welding techniques
- Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts
- Carries out any other related Jobs as and when required by the Supervisor and/or HOD
Accountability - Respects fellow employees.
- Makes sure to follow Lin Scan policy in respective department.
- Makes sure the correct drawing is followed
- Maintains department tidy and implements daily housekeeping
Skills/Experience: - ITI Technical certificate. (Industrial training institute)
- Minimum 5years of experience in engineering/design department for production of design / shop drawings / material submittals
- Prior experience in inline inspection is preferred
- Language: HINDI, English should speak and understand English
