Job description
Required Skills and Experience Understand
· Ability to understand and comprehend a client Brief into a research brief taking into consideration the context of User, Category, Product, Business. Research Planning:
· Ability to create a research plan including:
Preparation of research screeners identifying the intended profiles for user interviews
· Coming with the discussion guides for achieving desired design insights tailored for multidisciplinary design verticals
Conduct Research· Experience of regularly using Design Research methods
· Craft user persona, Trend Mapping & Analysis, Outline customer journey mapping
· Customer Journey mapping & Scenario Mapping
- Understanding of Brand Archetype & Need Scope Framework and its application in B2B and B2C contexts
- Familiarity with market research nomenclature and processes
· Primary Research
- Conduct focus groups, surveys, interviews, and use other data collection methods to gather information about target audiences
- Ability to conduct ethnographic Research
· Secondary Research
- Compilation and extraction of external data sources and channels.
- Summary and Synthesis of existing data reports across sectors and categories, implications on design outcomes
· Competition and Benchmarking
- Include Pattern (category codes) identification,
- Consumer insight awareness.
Draw Insights
· Use data to identify trends, patterns and preferences to inform the design process.
· Draw insights from consumer, category, cross discipline learning, trends and business needs.
· Distinction in understanding research across communication design, product design and innovation and experience design.
Present Findings· Deliver crafted personas, trends, concept spaces
· Present findings & Insights to all stake holders as needed.
Additional Value AddResearch Planning· Identify or Device new effective methods of data collection
Conduct Research· Conduct product / prototype testing in controlled environments
· Experience in coordinating with external agencies / consultants where-ever required to deliver on requirements.
Draw Insights· Experience in use of Research Tools and Frameworks gain deeper insights for design strategy and brand strategy.
· Consumer Payoff, 2x2 Competitor Analysis, Definition of Spaces, POV on category and competition positioning
· Build library of Micro and Macro trends for future reference and enquiries
Present Findings· Contribute to or lead brainstorming and ideation sessions for internal stakeholders
· Co-creation of client workshops; crafting frameworks for co-creative and collaborative client workshops
· Have an entrepreneurial spirit and interest in building proprietary data and insights relevant for the company.
