To be responsible for the development and improvement of the internal processes of the team. To define any new engagement processes To provide advice and recommendations on technical and non technical issues To work with the lead in the creation of the project processes and procedures to ensure the integrity of the systems and services. To produce technical documentation / Reports where appropriate To plan, manage and report progress on associated projects To assist in any work required during outages To provide assistance to the Discipline Lead in both an administration and technical capacity To assist with the creation of technical solutions for projects and attend any related meetings Providing SME advice to IS colleagues across the development lifecycle including; providing Technical Architects an operations view, sharing SME knowledge with Technical Project Managers Working with the Service Architect - identify, assess and plan the level and nature of expertise and resources required to deliver cost effective maintenance and support to infrastructure and application developments, enhancement and changes Providing emergency intervention in ITIL lifecycle processes Incident and Problem management to provide 2nd / 3rd level support in response to Major Incidents. Managing relationships with key and relevant external IS suppliers, so as to ensure aligned delivery and support activities, optimising opportunities to derive added value and ensure that costs are appropriately managed. Motivating and encouraging external teams both onshore and offshore to ensure delivery of the required standards of excellence in service and performance and support the continuing personal and professional development of all team members. Desired Skills And Experience Core competencies, knowledge and experience: Experience with Infoblox DDI, NetMRI, and IPAM Solutions Proficiency in DDI technologies DNS, and DHCP Experience with DNS infrastructure Deliver high level and low level design of DNS, DHCP, and Time Services Drive delivery of DDI solutions, including project and implementation support Provide DDI consulting services to peer Engineering, Operations, and Systems teams Provide Level 3 / 4 DDI escalation support for Network Operations Work with external vendors to manage network capacity within the infrastructure Proactively work with internal partners to determine growth requirements and ensure proper capacity is seeded to meet that demand Knowledge of designing secure network infrastructure solutions Experience with packet capturing and protocol analysis. Technical / Professional Qualifications 8+ years of deep technical experience working on IPAM environments Thorough understanding of DHCP, DNS, IP Addressing and Time Services High degree of experience in the day to day configuration and Sr. level troubleshooting of IPAM DHCP, DNS, and DDNS Creating & modifying DNS zone files manually (forward and reverse zones) Time Services knowledge of: NTP & PTP Work collaboratively with other teams such as LAN, WAN, firewall, Active Directory, Hosting etc. Integration of DNS and DHCP in Active Directory environment Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Business Skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate IT technical language into everyday terms which users can understand, specifically non-technical senior management Ability to interact with customers so as to ensure that the service is flexible, efficient and responsive To work through issues analytically to a successful conclusion Demonstrable results in a business customer facing role, with a track record of delivering services to defined service levels.
