Role Summary:

The Merchandiser will play a crucial role in the seamless operation of our production line, from the initial order placement to the final shipment. This position requires a proactive individual who can efficiently coordinate between various internal departments, including design, production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure that all products meet Gordon and Bros' standards of excellence and are delivered within set timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the end-to-end process of order fulfillment, ensuring timely progression from order receipt to shipment.
• Work closely with the design team to understand product specifications and with the production team to monitor the manufacturing process.
• Liaise with the quality control department to ensure that all products meet the required standards before shipment.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure that shipments are executed according to schedule and customer requirements.
• Manage inventory levels, placing orders for raw materials and supplies as needed to meet production demands.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Assist in the analysis of market trends to inform future product development and positioning strategies.
• Provide regular reports on order status, inventory levels, and production challenges to senior merchandising staff and other relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A degree in Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in merchandising or a similar role, preferably in the footwear or fashion industry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with inventory management systems.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
