IT Program Manager
Experience: 11+ years Location: Chennai Work from Office Requirement: For Internal Corporate IT Summary: The IT Program Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, allocating resources for, and overseeing multiple complex IT projects to ensure they are completed successfully and on time. They ensure alignment with company objectives, work closely with stakeholders, and drive collaboration across various departments. Key Responsibilities: Program Oversight: Oversee and manage a portfolio of IT projects to ensure coordinated planning, execution, and delivery. Strategic Alignment: Ensure that all IT projects under the program align with the organization's objectives and strategic goals. Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes align with business objectives . Resource Allocation: Optimize the allocation of resources across projects, ensuring that staffing, budget, and other resources are appropriately distributed. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues across projects, devising and implementing strategies to mitigate them. Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance metrics for the program, ensuring timely delivery and quality of projects. Continuous Improvement: Promote and drive continuous improvement within the program and project teams, incorporating best practices and lessons learned . Communication: A ct as the main point of contact for the program, ensuring regular and transparent communication with all stakeholders, sponsors, and team members. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and oversee program and project budgets, ensuring optimal use of organizational resources. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project managers and cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives and foster professional growth. Governance: Establish and maintain project methodologies, standards, and governance procedures across all projects within the program. Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships and contracts as they pertain to the program. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus. PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional) or similar certification desired. years of experience in program and project management within IT, with a proven track record of successfully implementing software and/or IT hardware projects. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development life cycles, and agile methodologies. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Proficient in project management software [e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello]. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.Job tags
