Overview

The Maintenance Executive plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance operations within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring that all equipment and machinery are in optimal working condition, thereby contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing maintenance procedures and strategies
  • Managing and supervising a team of maintenance staff
  • Conducting regular inspections of equipment and facilities
  • Responding to maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Overseeing the maintenance budget and ensuring cost-effective solutions
  • Collaborating with other departments to support organizational objectives
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Preparing reports and documentation related to maintenance activities
  • Participating in strategic planning for facility maintenance and upgrades
  • Training and developing maintenance staff
  • Managing contractor relationships and evaluating their performance
  • Utilizing maintenance management software to track work orders and maintenance history
  • Participating in equipment procurement and installation projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
  • Proven experience in maintenance management or a similar role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Analytical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Project management capabilities
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost control principles
  • Experience with equipment procurement and vendor management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Certification in maintenance management or related field is a plus
