Platform Software Integration Engineer BorgWarner is a global product leader in clean and efficient technology solutions for combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles. Our facilities are located across the globe to provide local support for our diverse customer base. BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems business unit is currently looking for a dynamic, results driven Platform Software Development Engineer/Senior Engineers for Platform Software development as part of the software engineering competency at our Technical Centre India in Bengaluru. Position Summary: In this role, and under direct supervision of the Platform Solutions & Architect(s) Software Manager Software, the Platform Software Integration Engineer will be responsible for design, development, documentation, and verification of embedded platform software for AutoSAR based Complex Power Electronics production projects to meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirement in a fast-paced start-up like environment within a Fortune 500 Organization. Educational Qualifications : B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Electronics / Communication / Electrical / Power Electronics / Instrumentation Experience : 7-10 years of work experience in embedded software design and development. Automotive and AutoSAR experience preferred. Major Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full lifecycle development of AutoSAR based software reusable platform based applications and drivers.
- Performing AutoSAR System configuration ( SWC compositions like Component instances, connectors) , optimize AUTOSAR based SW architecture in multicore environment. Streamline common architecture in compliance with standard architecture (AUTOSAR) across platform projects, optimum usage of reusable building blocks to improve efficiency and quality.
- Identify software optimization opportunities (MIPS, RAM, NVRAM) and continuously improve the efficiency of the platform software.
- Actively Collaborates with Customer production project teams for technical mentoring/problem solving & support integration of platform software.
- Develop SW in accordance to BorgWarner's Automotive SPICE-compliant development process.
- Ensure documented traceability from requirements through test cases
- Develop Proficient Software components & responsible for integrating platform software components on BSW, MCAL layers according to integration plan for state-of-the-art BorgWarner Electrification Products, Create software build to satisfy software release targeted functionalities and requirements,
- Planning and Coordination with the responsible persons of the Software components and the Software project manager with regards to software integration and testing
- Creation of the complete software and delivery to the project team as well as software release documentation
- Specification and execution of software integration tests including documentation
- Technical mentoring/problem solving & support integration of Platform software. Debugging and analyzing integration problems. This position will require close collaboration with platform Software project manager, lead software engineers, software architect, software test engineer and other departments to complete software development engineering and release.
