Job description
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES -
- Ensure that the company complies with all local, national, and international environmental regulations related to textile manufacturing.
- Develop and communicate clear Net Zero goals for the organization, including targets for reducing carbon emissions and achieving sustainability milestones.
- Create and oversee initiatives to reduce the company's carbon footprint, such as adopting renewable energy sources, energy-efficient technologies, and sustainable sourcing practices.
- Regularly track progress toward Net Zero goals and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive records of environmental activities, emissions, waste management, and compliance measures.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports for regulatory agencies, ensuring that all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications are up to date.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential safety and compliance issues and take corrective actions.
- Develop and oversee a preventive maintenance program for ETP and WTP plants to minimize downtime.
- Establish effective emergency response plans to address unexpected issues promptly.
- Strategy Development : Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability and ESG strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Environmental Sustainability: Identify and manage environmental impact areas, such as carbon emissions, waste management, resource consumption, and renewable energy integration.
- Social Responsibility : Drive social initiatives related to diversity and inclusion, community engagement, employee well-being, human rights, and philanthropy.
- Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and publication of sustainability reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Assess potential sustainability risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor emerging trends and regulations in the sustainability and ESG landscape.
QUALIFICATIONS-
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Advanced degrees and relevant certifications, such as Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP), are preferred.
- Relevant experience in wastewater treatment
