Job description

Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure,
including hardware, operating systems, and virtualization
technologies.
2. Install, configure, and optimize server operating systems and software
applications.
3. Monitor server performance, availability, and security to ensure
smooth operation and timely resolution of any issues.
4. Perform regular server maintenance tasks, such as patch
management, firmware upgrades, and system backups.
5. Implement and enforce security measures to protect server systems
and data from unauthorized access or breaches.
6. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of servers
with the organization's network infrastructure.
7. Plan and execute server capacity planning, scalability, and resource
optimization to meet the organization's growing needs.
8. Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures
related to server management and operations.
9. Stay updated with emerging server technologies, trends, and best
practices to recommend improvements and implement innovative
solutions.

10. Provide technical guidance and support to junior server
administrators or Development teams.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a
related field.
2. Proven experience in managing and administering server systems,
preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
3. Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (e.g.,
Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware,
Hyper-V).
4. Familiarity with server management tools and monitoring systems.
5. Solid understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and TCP/IP
stack.
6. Experience with server security practices, including access controls,
firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
7. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and
resolve server-related issues.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with
cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple
priorities effectively.
10. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
(MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP)) are a plus.
