Job description
The IT Asset Coordinator role is responsible for providing logistical, project and process support to the firm community including technical documentation, communication, and timely execution in support of BDO RISE IT related to Asset Management and Projects
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provisioning/imaging laptops for new joiners
- Monitor and update as needed all PC drivers to support the various models specific to India
- Re-package third party software per specification for deployment to users
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for India personnel
- Provide technical support (incidents and requests) for all India based personnel
- Maintain vendor relationships for Dell India, Kayimpex and any other PC hardware vendors we use in India
- Responsible for daily operation of the imaging center in the Bangalore IT space
- Responsible for asset management; maintaining accurate inventory for all laptop models in BLR, AHM
- Coordinating shipping/courier service for hires/terms as well as recovery and processing term PC hardware and peripherals
- Monitor hiring activity (collab with HR India team) to recommend new hardware purchases to align with PC lead times and hiring pace
Supplemental Responsibilities: Collaborate with US based Desktop Engineering , Software Operations and Enterprise Support teams for:
- Knowledgebase article creation/validation/updates
- Afterhours (US Timezone) support for Change Control activities (system patching, application updates, etc) as applicable
- Security/vulnerability response and patching
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Bachelor degree and / or equivalent experience preferred
Language:
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
Experience:
- One (1) to Three (3) years of experience providing asset and/or logistical management or related field required
Preferred Skillset:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Capacity to work in a deadline-driven environment while handle multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Excellent Organization and Documenting Skills
Software:
- Experience with the following products preferred:
- Microsoft Windows or currently firm operating system
- Microsoft Outlook 2003 or higher
