ExuberantHR Consulting is a topnotch recruitment consultant and currently seeking experienced resources for the Sr. Manager / Manager Contracts role for a leading heavy infrastructure and construction subsidiary company in the iron and steel sector. Due to the confidential nature of the position the clients company name cannot be disclosed.

Job Title: Sr. Manager / Manager Contracts (Male preferred)

Location: Mumbai / Nagpur

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech Graduates preferred with exposure to the legal side. Certification in Contract Management (e.g. CPCM CFCM) is a plus.

Experience: At least 7 years of relevant experience in Contracts Management.

Industry Preference: Preferred experience in Infrastructure Construction Iron and Steel Engineering EPC Oil and gas Petrochemicals and Refineries

Salary: Rs. 15 18 per annum

Role and Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager/Manager Contracts plays a critical role in overseeing the organizations contract management processes to ensure compliance mitigate risks and optimize vendor relationships. This role encompasses strategic planning negotiation and legal compliance to support the organizations contractual obligations and protect its interests.

• Study Contract and prepare RiskMitigation analysis and document the same.
• Ensuring statutory compliance working hand in hand with other departments.
• Compliance with contractual requirements and attributes to understand business.
• Making Correspondence with clients / Subcontractors to fulfill contractual obligations.
• Drafting contractual correspondences protecting the contractual interest of the organization and representing the Company as per requirements.
• Review and reply to various important correspondences/communications in keeping with Contract conditions.
• Preparation of contracts agreements amendments and change orders as per requirements.
• Ensure all notices and the like are prepared and forwarded to the Client/subcontractor as specified in the contract.
• Identification preparation and submission of various Claims and variations including substantiation and defending counterclaims.
• Ensure all subcontractor claims extensions of time and variations are checked and proper advice given.
• Maintain contractual records such as receipt and control of all contractual correspondences customer contact information sheet etc.
• Exposure to Arbitration / ADR mechanism desirable.
• Devising and implementing a documentation system including maintenance and ensuring traceability.
• Understanding different types and different versions of contracts.
• Making Contract Appreciation Documents (CAD)
• Mitigating Risk and managing Subcontracts (precontract Stage)
• Precontracting exposure including supporting the procurement team in formulating standard templates for GCC/SCC etc in line with company practices protecting the interest of the organization and mitigating risks.
• Ensuring the process flow and fair practices including for Contracts Audits.
• Standardisation of Contracts
• Understanding procurement strategies and negotiations is an added advantage.
• To closely work with technical operations and legal teams as an interphase.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree Engineering Graduates preferred with exposure to the legal side.
• Proven experience in contract management with at least 7 years in Contract Management.
• Has good job stability in the work tenure at least 2 years in the current organizations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contract management.
• Certification in Contract Management (e.g. CPCM CFCM) is a plus.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. healthcare finance) is advantageous.
