Job description

Position Summary

This is an individual contributor role with responsibility for supporting Business Intelligence (BI) & Master Data Management (MDM). Technical Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight of technical project delivery. This position works directly with BI/MDM leadership and will support, but not limited to, BI Platforms, Development Operations, Database Management, and Data Engineering projects. The ideal candidate needs to have at least 3-5 years of technical project management experience within a business intelligence organization.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and supporting delivery plans and cross functional alignment with business intelligence and master data management delivery programs. Key responsibilities include collecting and reporting status, raising and resolving critical project issues, and building effective project teams.

This role will manage the project intake process for data platforms & engineering, and assist teams with delivery program work breakdown activities. Including Discovery, Planning, Prioritization, and Execution. In addition, this position will be a part of the extended leadership team that drives agile process improvements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the production of portfolio status reports by collating information from tracking tools and delivery team members
  • Prepare information for regular reporting of program roadmap and status
  • Analyze and deliver project tracking information in a clear and concise manner, including using graphical representation of the data, where effective
  • Assist with project administration to start and end projects, (e.g. Discovery, Planning & Prioritization, and Execution)
  • Work with a global team to ensure communication of accurate and timely project status, issues, risks, and scope changes

Qualifications (include Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Related Work Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience
  • Knowledge and experience of software project management
  • Experience in the use of tracking and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with the Agile software development process
  • Experience managing technical programs and projects (data engineering, data warehouse, BI platform support/migrations, and/or DB management
  • Strong interpersonal and problem resolution skills
  • Strong teamwork and customer support focus
  • Strong written (project documentation) and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage numerous conflicting priorities in a professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork for communication with the Engineering team
