Overview:
The IT Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and business needs within the organization. They are responsible for analyzing the business domain translating business requirements into IT solutions and ensuring that IT initiatives meet business objectives. The IT Business Analyst collaborates with stakeholders including business leaders project managers and technical teams to drive effective decisionmaking and deliver successful IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to understand their objectives and translate them into IT requirements.
- Analyze business processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement IT solutions that align with business needs.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and document detailed functional and nonfunctional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations for process and system enhancements.
- Assist in the development of test plans and participate in testing efforts to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Provide support during implementation and postimplementation phases including user training and change management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of business and IT processes with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Proficiency in utilizing business analysis tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience in data analysis and visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP) is a plus.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in relevant industries.
- Experience with CRM ERP or other enterprise systems is advantageous.
